Hitting the nail on the head...

So I just spouted off in a forum regarding what I deem to be the misled, disoriented "values" that prevail in modern America. I was being maligned, rightly so, for the seemingly endless inaccurate predictions of "crashes" and "war" I've been promulgating in this blog and on the internet for so very, very long. Because of this foolishness on my own part, all of what I'm arguing is to be dismissed out of hand. So be it. I've simply been seeking to read the writing on the wall and the "spirit of truth" is that America has destroyed itself, it's just a matter of when reality hits at this point.

Here's my commentary:

Jeepers, never thought that only the communists had thought of sharing wealth. Why wasn't that told to me in preschool as I was being taught such values?

As for becoming a banker, or a brain surgeon, or a New York Yankee relief pitcher, or an oil tycoon inheritor, or a paraplegic, or a severely autistic child, etc., the five most misleading words in America's Declaration of Independence are: "All men are created equal."

Really?

And if not, then what?

Shall we still pursue an enrichment of the fittest competitive society where you are free to be a billionaire and ignore those free to starve and freeze to death on a sidewalk because of some sort of twisted secularized ideals of liberty far removed from the Judeo-Christian values meant to be an essential part of our society?

Modern Americans want all the "independence" they can have in terms of independence from responsibility to others or society as-a-whole while this is grossly out of accord with the sharing and sacrifices necessary for liberty to succeed.

One of my favorite quotes is from William Penn: "Men must be governed by God or they will be ruled by tyrants."

This really captures the essence of our situation. The Bible is replete with tales of God's people cycling through being blessed with freedom and prosperity, becoming self-absorbed and going against God's will and then being delivered into evil and bondage. Where do you think modern America fits thereof?

It is telltale how valued and successful folk like myself are that have been seeking to spell out where we're at and where we'll end up. Nobody is interested. No one loves the truth. In fact, they could care less. Personal gratification is the priority and the needs of others, survival of America and well-being of the world overall is a nuisance if a consideration at all.

So when the missiles fly and the West is laid asunder, don't blame the "Old Enemy" so much as look in the mirror.

God's Love Story?

I, like anyone else, am a work in progress. The blogs posted here represent a wide array of my changing opinions and forecasts many of which are wrong. I apologize for where my ego has gotten in the way of a sober discernment of the truths I believe my Creator wants to convey. I often don't listen as attentively as I should. I, like everyone else, am gradually being revised by my Creator until I express the meaning that makes HIStory complete.

I noticed the two key forums where I've been expressing my views over the past few years are down tonight. My sense is that I'm near the limit of my freedom in this world to tell the truth before meeting forceful resistance and censorship. I would encourage folk who pass through this blog to download a backup at this time if you value the information herein since it will eventually be removed from public view as it becomes clear that the SPIRIT of what I've been arguing is TRUE and thus the world is currently about as deluded as can be with enormous repercussions for the fate of our civilization. My sense is that my "D-Day" is approaching as I'm effectively put at war with the forces of tyranny seeking to vanquish the "soul" of humankind.

Meanwhile, as I listen to the crying in the society around me over "what's mine", I hear endless childishness. Accordingly, here is a message I feel led to convey.

I believe it's telling that our nation's number one export to China is waste paper and scrap metal.

In a global context, Americans bellyaching over how their vast wealth is distributed amongst themselves is the height of arrogant folly, especially in light of the unchecked fraud that's been involved in our enrichment. Our nation has been blessed with the greatest freedom and prosperity in human history, yet "We The People" have completely lost sight of the One from Whom our blessings flow.

Do you really think the wealthy elite in this world work evenly for what they receive? Or does disproportionate income and "welfare" accrue to them by means of resources they control by virtue of birth....like being born American in the first place? And, if the latter, do the wealthy earn their keep or are they 'exploiting the system' for their own comfort and pleasure with irresponsible disregard to the lack of opportunity and needs of others?

How do you think this sits with God your Creator?

Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality. At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. The goal is equality, as it is written: “The one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little.” [2 Corinthian 8:13-15]

This thinking may be contrary to the EGOism that reigns in modern Western Civilization, but there's a reason God has empowered our enemies to destroy and defeat us under the battle cry of "submission to God's will" (Islam) to "share our wealth" (Communism) (although it's all a terrific lie).

Who is the ultimate AUTHORity in AUTHORing human HIStory? How much relative authority do you think YOU have over what's written?

Man has been blessed with freedom to discover the knowhow and mechanisms to build God's Kingdom, but those subjective realizations, and the profit thereof, do not exclusively belong to particular men who are characters in the storybook of life within which we dwell. I believe the intent of the TRUE CREATOR is for us to equitably share what's been devised through men for all humankind to enjoy the fruits thereof. Each of us can either cooperate in the story God is Authoring or we can be edited from HIStory like weeds gathered from the wheat at harvest then bundled and burned.

The Parable of the Weeds

Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.

“The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’

“‘An enemy did this,’ he replied.

“The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’

“‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’” [Matthew 13:24-30]

In which story do you choose to have an eternal part: the Book of Life or the Book of Death?

I believe the childish disregard of the LOVE story God seeks to Author with us is near an END.

The Creator loves His creatures but hates their sinfulness, so how is HIStory edited accordingly?

An interesting question.

All I know is that it seems suicidally insane how everyone loves money and pleasure instead of God, but I personally still love this world and, if need be, will completely sacrifice myself to save it from self-destruction. Between the poles of hope and despair in human history, I'm on the hope side.

Who Authors HIStory?

In the Book of Life, individuals are words, families are sentences, communities are paragraphs and nations are chapters. Love is the meaning of the Book God is Authoring, the ideal relationship between the letters, and, if we don't "get it", then the story, human history, will come to a tragic, meaningless end.

If the moral of God's story is love for one another, who are you to go against the plot?

On This Memorial Day...

This Memorial Day weekend I spent with my grandfather, who I love dearly.

Gramp lives with my aunt in a camper. My aunt is an official member of the working poor, so he resides with her to provide supplemental income and general support. At 87 years of age, however, it is difficult. The heater is going and was touch and go all winter so the temperature was kept at 65 degrees to limit stress on the system. Also, because they just moved to a new campground, cable television has been unavailable. The toilet leaks and the bathroom is too small for my grandfather to get in and out of the tub. My aunt works 50+ hours a week as a manager for a beauty supply store and had an hour commute to deal with throughout the winter, so, given the sparse winter population at the campground, Gramp had to tough out long, cold days alone in a camper without even television to keep him company. Yet, with family get-togethers over the holidays, there would not be a word of protest or complaint....he's doing just fine.

Why does Gramp do this?

Because my grandfather's life is about self-sacrificial love. He's a bona fide member of the "Greatest Generation". Following his family's struggle to survive on a diet of dug-up clams and "crackers and milk" during the Great Depression, he enlisted in the army and was sent off to Europe where he fought from the D-Day invasion at Normandy all the way to Munich, Germany where he helped liberate the Dachau concentration camp. The average lifespan for a tank support infantryman in combat was around eight minutes, yet he managed to survive three campaigns across Europe. The day before VE Day he was driving a colonel in a truck across a newly cleared minefield when his vehicle struck an overlooked mine killing the colonel and leaving him partially deaf and with a permanent piece of metal in his skull. After recovering in Paris, he was around town to celebrate the victory over Japan and end of the war and was caught in the following classic Time-Life photo:

After returning from the war, my grandfather married my grandmother who already had two daughters from an earlier failed marriage. But no social or economic constraints could get in the way of the unconditional, overwhelming love he had for Gram (who had inspired him with the words, "you come back to me", before he left for the war) and they married on New Year's Day in 1947 and began a life of simple but happy struggle to build the next generation of Americans who would come to know unprecedented plenty and well-being. He adopted my mother and her sister and raised them as his own, and then Gram and Gramp had a third daughter with whom he now lives.

On July 4th, 2004, my grandmother passed away, leaving my grandfather behind for a final campaign he fights to this day for love of his only begotten daughter. Upon Gram's passing, my brother and I put together the following tribute we shared at her funeral:

So on this Memorial Day I'd like to raise up my grandfather as a true American hero who even now in his waning years still humbly fights the good fight and sacrifices himself out of love without protest or despair. This, I believe, is godliness in true form which is tragically rare in modern society. Indeed, when the world comes crashing down around us in the trying times ahead, let it be clear that where we failed was in forgetting the pure genius of my grandfather and others like him from the Greatest Generation who have comprehended that life is not all about them. That's simply not the point.

A new commandment I give unto you,
That ye love one another;
as I have loved you,
that ye also love one another.

[John 13:34]

Greater love hath no man than this,
that a man lay down his life for his friends.

[John 15:13]

TURNING and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.

- William Butler Yeats

The Final Battle
between Good and Evil,
humanity and inhumanity,
right and wrong,
truth and lies,
is set to begin.

Are you willing to 'fight'?
