As highlighted in the PBS Frontline episode, The Anthrax Files, the odds are the FBI never really caught the 2001 Anthrax mailer. The true culprit could still be at large. If so, let's all hope and pray he isn't connected to ISIS!

The NYPD and FBI might be on top of this, but, if past performance is a reliable indicator, then...

UPDATE: I just learned that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is scheduled to speak at the U.N. tomorrow.

Anyone living or working in New York City should have a two-week supply of a broad-spectrum antibiotic on-hand IMHO. NYC authorities should have seen to this years ago, but I guess New Yorkers prefer not to think in these terms.

At the least, might I suggest New Yorkers avoid the subway system Monday and maybe next week altogether if they can at all do so?

I pray to my heavenly Father that my concern is unwarranted, and I apologize if so. Better safe than sorry. Beware New York City...

Saddam's Iraq took down TWA Flight 800

CNN is currently airing a special on the crash of flight TWA 800.

The airliner was most likely taken down by a shoulder-fired surface-to-air missile launched by a terrorist operating at the behest of Saddam Hussein's Iraq (follow that link for elaboration). This was the second episode of the FBI and US intelligence community (intetionally?) overlooking the involvement of Saddam Hussein's culpability in engaging in terrorism against America in the wake of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing which also was the handiwork of the Iraqi dictator. Laurie Mylroie and I have tried time and time again to get the FBI and US intelligence community to deal with this reality to no avail. To the contrary, justice has been obstructed at the highest levels of government. The consequence was 9/11 and the subsequent anthrax mailings. Somehow even after those immense terrorist assaults against America, US intelligence still remained wittingly oblivious to Iraqi involvement. Fortunately, President George W. Bush saw through the idiocy of the politicized intelligence agencies that have persisted in failing to protect national security and made the right decision to take out Saddam Hussein. But does the story end there?

Elements of the Sunni Muslim terrorist cell, that ultimately succeeded in taking down the Twin Towers in 2001 after an unsuccessful try in 1993, continues to live and work in New York City. Will this ever be addressed by the FBI?

In Bill Gertz's most recent Washington Times Inside The Ring dispatch, there's the following interesting tidbit of information:

ISIL: DEATH TO AMERICANS

The al Qaeda offshoot that has taken over large parts of Iraq this month has launched a global propaganda campaign threatening attacks on Americans if the United States intervenes in the conflict. The campaign, by backers of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), also known as ISIS, launched Monday on Twitter.

The campaign, in both English and Arabic, is being watched closely by U.S. and allied intelligence agencies concerned about terrorist attacks against the United States and its interests related to the conflict in Iraq and Syria.

The effort will seek to sow fear and incite attacks and will use images of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center with its messaging.

The group is signaling that if the U.S. intervenes in Iraq, all U.S. citizens will become targets for Sunni jihadists. Any U.S. attack on Iraq will be the basis for the terrorist strikes, along with U.S. friends and allies who offer support or bases for American forces.

Other potential targets include U.S. embassies and companies that employ Americans. One jihadist promised “rivers of blood” in attacks that would include women and children. A U.S. official said the campaign is being watched but so far has not gained traction among other large numbers of jihadists.

Meanwhile, ISIL this week published the fourth edition of its English-language magazine “Islamic State Report,” which includes photos of its invasion of central Iraq and of the mass executions of 1,700 Iraqis.

The Obama administration already has taken sides in the conflict by sending some 300 troops to Baghdad to bolster the pro-Shiite government of Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.

Navy Rear Adm. John Kirby, a Pentagon spokesman, told reporters Tuesday that the first 110 troops have arrived in Baghdad as “initial assessment teams.”

“These teams will assess the cohesiveness and readiness of Iraqi security forces, hire headquarters in Baghdad, and examine the most effective and efficient way to introduce follow-on advisers,” Adm. Kirby said.

Reconnaissance aircraft are flying 30 to 35 missions a day to learn the locations of ISIL forces.

A U.S. official said the terrorist group has taken control of large areas of central Iraq but is not believed militarily strong enough to take over Baghdad.

[Note that ISIL = ISIS, i.e., Islamic State of Iraq & Syria.]

As any one following the news out of Iraq lately realizes, ISIS (ISIL) is a Sunni Muslim extremist group fighting to carve an Islamic caliphate out of Syria and Iraq that recently overtook the northern Iraqi city of Mosul. This so-described terrorist group of some 10,000 fighters is overrunning town after town in Iraq and taking large swathes of territory while the 900,000-strong Iraqi Security Forces run scared. While I won't get into here how absurd that narrative is in and of itself, what I will highlight is how ridiculous the idea is that this newly popularized Islamic extremist group somehow is interested in engaging in terrorism directly against the U.S. 

At this point, three nations are involved in the fight against ISIS: Iraq, Iran and Syria. The U.S. has positioned the George W. Bush aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf and sent some support troops and advisers into Iraq, but otherwise the U.S. is yet to get involved in the fight. Why would ISIS, effectively under assault by three other nations already, want to infuriate the American military behemoth with acts of terrorism against U.S. interests? Yet, somehow, this the narrative the world is being misled to believe.

Why would this be?

I believe the operational term here is: "Grey Terror".

J.R. Nyquist provided an excellent summation of what Grey Terror is all about in a 2004 Financial Sense column:

According to (Petr) Cibulka, al Qaeda is the child of the Communist Bloc and its rogue state allies. "[Al Qaeda] is supplied and trained by Iraq," said Cibulka in a 2003 interview. "But the real brains behind this global terrorist campaign against the free world – is in fact the Russian GRU. Moscow fights against the United States with a hidden hand."......Soviet Communism invented modern terrorism. The Communists trained Arafat, Mandela, Carlos the Jackal and others. To what end was this training?

There is an old book by a GRU defector who wrote under the pen name Viktor Suvorov. The book's title is Spetsnaz: The Inside Story of the Soviet Special Forces. Chapter 15 in this book is about Spetsnaz's role at the outset of World War III. It makes very interesting reading.

Russian Spetsnaz commandos are trained as paratroopers, explosives experts, terrorists and assassins. According to Suvorov, World War III will not begin with conventional military operations, or even with massed nuclear missile strikes. On page 196 he describes "a series of large and small [terrorist] operations the purpose of which is, before actual military operations begin, to weaken the enemy's morale, create an atmosphere of suspicion, fear and uncertainty, and divert attention of the enemy's armies and police forces to a huge number of different targets'." According to Suvorov: "The principle method employed at this stage is 'grey terror'", which is a kind of terror that is carried out "in the name of already existing extremist groups not connected in any way with the Soviet Union, or in the name of fictitious organizations."

Some historical examples of Grey Terror on which I've written at length are 9/11 and the subsequent Anthrax mailings. I believe that these attacks served the strategic purposes of the Kremlin in drawing the U.S. into major military actions in the Middle East that have helped stoke anti-Americanism around the world.  America is now viewed around the world, and particularly in the Muslim world, as an "imperialist, war-mongering superpower" that needs to be countered, something which the Kremlin has long planned to do via thermonuclear force.  It's just that:

The Soviets never start a war. By definition, the United States or, more generally speaking, "imperialism is the source of all antagonistic conflicts of the present day world, the source of war danger."[General Major A.S. Milovidov, quoted in Soviet Strategy For Nuclear War, p.98] 

Accordingly, any future terrorist attacks against the U.S. or its interests around the world in response to American military action against ISIS should be considered the surreptitious handiwork of Moscow, especially given that ISIS appears to be a product Saddam Hussein's regime-as-it-was.

Kremlin Astrology: Third World War to begin in February/March of 2014?

In March 2011, a rather curious article appeared in Pravda (the Russian word for "truth") dubbed, "Third World War to begin during Winter Games in 2014". Here's an excerpt:

On March 24, well-known Russian astrologists, shamans and parapsychologists gathered to discuss forecasts for near and distant future.

The participants of the meeting....unveiled the date for the beginning of Third World War. The new war is said to begin in March of 2014, during the Olympic Games in Sochi. It is also possible that the war may start five days after the Games end. Globa did not say in which country exactly the war would begin.

Predicting World War III – Part One

Commentary of 20 January 2014

A friend in Europe reminded me that on 24 March 2011 a group of “well-known Russian astrologers, shamans and parapsychologists gathered to discuss forecasts for the near and distant future.” Since almost nothing of importance in Russia occurs without the state or the FSB having a “finger in the pie” (so to speak) it is worth taking notice of Russian predictions – whatever the source. Readers are directed to the 2011 Pravda.ru article titled Third World War to Begin during Winter Games in 2014. A wise man once said, “Never make predictions, especially about the future.” Indeed, the article contains predictions that obviously did not come true. Anyone who monitors major predictions about the future will find a very poor track record in 99 out of 100 cases. What is most curious, however, is that “participants” of the aforementioned 2011 meeting offered up a date for the beginning of World War III that already has some of us jittery.

According to the article war supposedly begins in March 2014, during or shortly after the Olympic Games in Sochi. Since there have been bombings in Russia, and since Russia has threatened to take unspecified actions against Saudi Arabia if terrorists bomb the Sochi games, there may be reason to worry. We know that supposed Islamist terror bombings in Russia have, in the past, been carried out by the FSB along with other “false flag” operations. We know that Saudi Arabia is the key to the West’s oil lifeline. Is Russia setting up a pretext for war?

In the case of the assembled astrologers and parapsychologists in Russia, how did they arrive at the March 2014 date for the start of World War III? The best predictions are often made by those who have sources on “the inside.” If an astrologer is trying to boost himself, wouldn’t it be prudent to have friends in the special services or General Staff? After all, such predictions would greatly strengthen the livelihood of any self-respecting astrologer or parapsychologist. Therefore we may ask if the Russian astrologers are merely reflecting an open secret within Russia’s ruling circles. As it happens, an answer to this question is ready at hand. I received a note from a practicing non-Russian astrologer about the March 2014 time frame for World War III. Apparently, in the lore of astrology, March 2014 looks rather frightening. My notion of “insider information” is therefore unsupported.

As for what specifically these Russian astrologers are looking at, SineWave Astrology offers the following commentary:

....there is a long series of these type of triggering configurations occurring from the summer of 2013 through the spring of 2014 which will make this the most intense and eventful phase of the entire forecast period. On top of the ongoing Uranus/Pluto square, which is exact again in October of 2013, Jupiter turns retrograde in November, just as Saturn reaches the mid-point of Scorpio and as Mars enters Libra - more indicators of stress, strain, upheaval and turmoil. What's more, Venus also turns retrograde in December, and then, in January of 2014, Jupiter is opposite Pluto while Mars is square Jupiter. Then Jupiter is square Uranus in February followed by Mars turning retrograde March. And all of these negatve astrological indicators culminate in an explosive climax in March and April of 2014, with the formation of a highly explosive and disruptive Grand Cross in the Cardinal signs between Mars, Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto.

The Grand Cross in March and April of 2014 is especially violent in nature because Mars is retrograde in Libra, a classical astrological sign of war, while also square Pluto, also retrograde - perhaps the most powerful explosive and disruptive astrological combination possible, while joined by the also very negative squares and oppositions of Jupiter and Uranus - a very rare and tumultuous combination.

While the scientifically-minded dismiss such astrological prognostications as fantasy-prone nonsense, there is reason to be concerned. What if the Kremlin is shaping history according to astrology? I've been warning about this possibility for more than two decades in my Kremlin Astrology posts on the internet:

Since the radical transformation of the Soviet Union kicked off with Gorbachev's rise to power in 1985, world history has been unfolding according to astrology in a profound and blatant way. While some may dismiss the correlation between significant astrological configurations and important historical events as mere coincidence or because of the mystical power of the stars, there's reason to believe there's more to the story than that. Indeed, one might conclude that leaders from from totalitarian powers in the East, led by Moscow, are intentional shaping history according to a multi-year plan guided by astrology....similar to what Hitler did in planning his military campaigns in World War Two (see, for instance, Wilhwelm T. Wulff's 'Zodiac & Swastika; How Astrology Guided Hitler's Germany', 1973). The world is being misled into a nuclear third world war through which Russia and its allies hope to wrest control of the world. That the Kremlin is so audacious as to carry out its historical machinations according to astrology indicates of just how megalomaniacal Russia's ruling elite have become.

Saddam Hussein took down TWA Flight 800 in July 1996

Six "whistleblower" TWA Flight 800 investigators came out today and alleged that the official government explanation that a "gas tank explosion" caused the crash is false:

Well, low and behold, sometimes the truth finally comes to light in this fallen world.

In August 1996, shortly after the tragic incident, I reported that TWA 800 had likely fallen victim to a missile fired by terrorists operating on Saddam Hussein's behalf in the wake of the 1991 Gulf War. This point was also picked up by Dr. Laurie Mylroie who has long explained to America that much of the terrorism directed against America in the 1990s up to 2001 was most likely the handiwork of Saddam Hussein:



Mylroie highlighted that the TWA 800 crash had occurred on July 17th, "President's Day" in Saddam Hussein's Iraq, the national Iraqi holiday celebrating the coup that had brought the Butcher of Baghdad to power in 1969. She also pointed out that, for all intents and purposes, Saddam threatened America just before the "crash" of flight TWA 800 and took credit for the incident immediately after the tragedy occurred:

Evidence is growing that terrorists – possibly orchestrated by Iraq – bear ultimate responsibility for the demise of TWA Flight 800 in July 1996, according to authors Jack Cashill and James Sanders.

Their recently released book, “First Strike: TWA Flight 800 and the Attack on America,” persuasively argues that mechanical failure could not have destroyed the Paris-bound Boeing 747. But it also presents a compelling theory that places Baghdad at the center of a pre-Sept. 11 plot to turn an aircraft into a flying bomb.

On July 16, 1996, one day before the airliner went down off the Long Island coast, a communique was issued by the Islamic Change Movement – the name apparently used by Iraqi intelligence to take credit for terrorist acts, says Iraq scholar Laurie Mylroie.

It read in part: “The mujahideen [holy warriors] will deliver the ultimate response to the threats of the foolish American president. Everyone will be amazed at the size of that response.”

The message warned, “Their time is at the morning-dawn,” which corresponded to dusk in New York, the moment of TWA Flight 800′s demise.

On July 18, the Islamic Change Movement released another communique through well-established Islamist terrorist channels in Beirut that read: “We carried out our promise with the plane attack of yesterday.”

Mylroie points out that Islamic Change took responsibility for the Khobar Towers attack in Riyadh one month earlier that killed 19 Americans. She notes that the date of TWA 800′s destruction is the most important day on Iraq’s revolutionary calendar, marking the coup that brought Saddam Hussein’s Ba’ath party to power in 1969.

On July 17, 1996, Saddam gave the “most angry, vengeful speech of his entire life,” blasting the U.S. for its troops on Saudi and Kuwaiti soil and demanding the lifting of sanctions, Mylroie told WND.

“That night, July 17, Iraq’s national day, that plane goes up in a fireball,” said Mylroie, author of “Study of Revenge: Saddam Hussein’s Unfinished War Against America.”

Unfortunately, the perspective of Dr. Mylroie and myself has never been "politically correct", especially since George W. Bush decided to rid the world of the menacing Iraqi tyrant once and for all with the Iraq War unleashed in 2003. Nevertheless, the truth is the truth and this will not be silenced by the ages.

Boris Berezovsky Assassinated By Putin?

From the U.K. Telegraph article, "Assassination fears over death of Russian oligarch Boris Berezovsky":

Boris Berezovsky was discovered dead yesterday afternoon at his home in Berkshire.

Early this morning police said they had called in specialist officers to investigate whether he had been killed by a chemical or biological agent or by radiation.

A cordon was put around his home last night after his body was discovered by a bodyguard. Reports from Russia said he was found in the bath at his house in Ascot.



Thames Valley Police said they had called in Scotland Yard and other experts and had kept the 67-year-old’s body in place as the investigation began.

Did Boris Berezovsky fall victim to an assassination ordered by Vladimir Putin?

Berezovsky, an outspoken critic of Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, had long feared for his life and had survived repeated assassination attempts — although none in recent years. He had been due to be a witness at the inquest next month into the death of Alexander Litvinenko, the former KGB spy who was murdered in 2006 after being poisoned by radioactive polonium-210 in what is believed to have been a Kremlin-sanctioned assassination.

Billionaire Boris Beresovsky was a close friend and confidante of Alexander Litvinenko, my associate who was assassinated with radioactive Polonium by the Russian secret services in 2006.



In 2005, I started up and ran the Litvinenko Chronicles at the Final Phase forum after learning that Litvinenko, a defector from the FSB who sought refuge in the U.K., had revealed what I long suspected, i.e., that al Qaeda is a Russian-run proxy for Moscow's long-standing program of international terrorism.

The number two person in the terrorist organization al Qaeda, who they are crediting with the series of explosions in London, Ayman al-Zawahiri, is an old agent of the FSB. Being sentenced to death in Egypt for terrorism and hunted by Interpol, Ayman al-Zawahiri, in 1998, was in the territory of Dagestan, where for half a year he received special training at one of the educational bases of the FSB. After this training he was transferred to Afghanistan, where he had never been before and where, following the recommendation of his Lubyanka chiefs, he at once ... penetrated the milieu of bin Laden and soon became his assistant in al Qaeda...

....I can definitely say that the center of global terrorism is not in Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan or the Chechen Republic. The terrorist infection is spread worldwide from Lubyanka Square and the Kremlin cabinet. And until the Russian special services are outlawed, dispersed and condemned, the terrorism will never stop: bombs will blow up and blood will be shed. Terrorism has no expiration date.... I would like to repeat, that all the terrorists, whom I have named, were supported by the heads of the Soviet and Russian special services - Yuri Andropov, Vladimir Putin, Nikolay Patrushev and others. These people are the main terrorists.... And until we condemn them ... global terrorism will continue.

I believe it was this revelation in particularly that cost the FSB defector his life.

Boris Beresovsky was Alexander Litvinenko's benefactor who provided the defector a home and helped produce the following documentary based upon Alexander's book: "Blowing Up Russia: Terror From Within":



In Alexander Litvinenko's book and the above documentary, the case is clearly laid out that Vladimir Putin's rise to power was paved with the blood of hundreds of innocent Russians murdered in the 1999 apartment bombings in Russia which were blamed on Chechen rebels but actually carried out by the FSB.

If you find it difficult to fathom that Russian secret services were behind the brazen assassination of Alexander Litvinenko, the 1999 apartment bombings in southern Russia and acts of international terrorism including 9/11, then I suggest you examine the following video showing Russian troops shooting dead the remaining survivors from the 2010 "crash" of of Polish Air Force Tu-154, effectively Poland's "Air Force One", that killed the political and military leadership of Poland:



Time and time again Russia's secret services have committed spectacular acts of assassination and terrorism around the world and are getting away with it because Western intelligence is downright stupid to the fact that the infamous KGB never ceased to exist with a simple name change.

The West Nile Mystery: Saddam's Legacy?

In recent days insecticide-spraying planes have been dispatched over Dallas, Texas to kill mosquitoes in order to combat a serious outbreak of the West Nile virus in the area:



Just the name of the virus bearing "West Nile" begs the question as to why the heck is such a disease infecting Texas? This is a long way from Africa after all.

When West Nile virus erupted in the Queens borough of New York City in the late-1990s, there was much buzz about the possibility that it was a biological weapon. What nation would have released such a bug against the United States? The primary culprit was Saddam Hussein's Iraq.

In a critical article that received scant popular attention in 1999, The New Yorker magazine revealed startling information that strongly suggests the West Nile virus was a manufactured biological weapon released into the U.S. by Saddam's agent(s).

Here is a key excerpt from the article:

THE mystery of how a West Nile-like virus got to New York City has been troubling the Central Intelligence Agency. At the headquarters of the C.I.A., in Langley, Virginia, there is a group of analysts and officers who concern themselves with biological weapons -- the C.I.A.'s bioweapons-analysis section. The section is run by a senior biologist who has had firsthand experience with some of the world's most dangerous viruses, including the Ebola virus. The scientist is said to be well respected by his peers, and he works with a team of analysts, mainly younger people fresh out of college. The analysts gather intelligence involving bioweapons and then try to assemble the big picture, fitting the data together with what they already know about bioweapons. After the New York diagnosis was changed to West Nile, on September 27th, the top officers in the bioweapons-analysis section suffered a lurch of uneasy recognition: they recalled a report that a self-described defector from Iraq had declared last April that Saddam Hussein was developing a strain of the West Nile virus as a biological weapon and was preparing to release it.

Someone in the analysis section apparently noticed that on April 6th a British tabloid, the Daily Mail of London, had published an excerpt from a book entitled "In the Shadow of Saddam," with a note that the account's credibility was "for the reader to judge." The author calls himself Mikhael Ramadan. That may or may not be his real name. Mikhael Ramadan is said to look a lot like Saddam Hussein. Purportedly, he served as one of Saddam's doubles, in order to help foil assassination attempts. There is a photograph, supposedly of him, on the back cover of the book, and he looks remarkably like Saddam except that he has more gray at the temples, and somehow he looks kindly. Eventually, Mikhael Ramadan managed to escape from Iraq. In his book he offers a wild-sounding account of his experiences working as Saddam's double, including such vignettes as a Kurdish rebel being lowered slowly into a vat of sulfuric acid. Mr. Ramadan also wrote, as the Daily Mail published it:

In 1997, on almost the last occasion we met, Saddam summoned me to his study. Seldom had I seen him so elated. Unlocking the top right-hand drawer of his desk, he produced a bulky, leather-bound dossier and read extracts from it.... The dossier holds details of his ultimate weapon, developed in secret laboratories outside Iraq.... Free of UN inspection, the laboratories would develop the SV1417 strain of the West Nile virus-capable of destroying 97 pc [per cent] of all life in an urban environment.... He said SV1417 was to be "operationally tested" on a Third World population centre.... The target had been selected, Saddam said, "but that is not for your innocent ears."

It sounded crazy. But why would a man presenting himself as an Iraqi defector predict that Saddam would unleash a virus just months before the same one broke out unexpectedly in New York? And, of all the thousands of viruses in the world, why West Nile? It was enough to make any bioweapons analyst at the C.I.A. feel uneasy. Adding another twist to the story, it turns out that in 1985 the Centers for Disease Control had sent samples of West Nile virus to a researcher in Iraq, which occasioned a controversy in the media five years later, on the eve of the Gulf War, when reports came out that Iraq had a biowarfare program. But the fatality rate for West Nile is not remotely near ninety-seven per cent, and "SV1417" is not a standard designation for any known strain of West Nile virus. It may be a code designation for some strain that Saddam's bioweaponeers might conceivably be working on, perhaps in a French-built virology facility near Baghdad that has been closed to inspectors from the United Nations for two years, ever since Saddam threw out all the U.N. inspectors. In the early nineteen-eighties, a French vaccine company, Institut Merieux, which is a division of the pharmaceutical giant Rhone-Poulenc, built a facility called the Foot and Mouth Vaccine Plant at a site now known as Al Manal. Institut Merieux helped the Iraqis operate Al Manal for a time, and trained the staff before departing. Al Manal was subsequently used for research into virus weapons. During the Gulf War, Al Manal and the Merieux equipment were used for making twenty thousand litres of botulinum toxin, or BTX -- one of the most lethal biotoxins known. In 1992, the United Nations tore down the buildings in which the BTX was made and destroyed that equipment, but it left standing eighty per cent of the facility, part of which was for virus research. (Some inspectors wanted the whole thing torn down.) Al Manal may be back in business developing virus weapons.

At the same time that the report about West Nile virus was being discussed in the C.I.A., Dr. Ken Alibek, the former deputy chief of research for Biopreparat, the Soviet Union's main biowarfare program -- he defected to the United States in 1992 -- spoke to various people on Capitol Hill, voicing his concern that the West Nile outbreak was suspicious. "I told them, 'It will not be possible to say whether or not it is terrorism unless we have a thorough study,' " he explained to me. "We need to take these situations with a high degree of seriousness."

Mikhael Ramadan is now apparently in hiding somewhere in Canada or the United States. At any rate, the C.I.A. people had an interest in finding him. Presumably, they would want to ask him more questions about the West Nile virus and whatever Saddam might have told him about any plans Iraq might have had for it and New York City. 'WALY SAMAR' & THE ANTHRAX MAILINGS

Keep in mind the linkages I discovered between an Iraqi microbiologist, identified by Dr. Laurie Mylroie in her book War Against America with the pseudonym "Waly Samar", and the Anthrax mailings....a microbiologist who to this day continues to roam free in New York City as a college professor.

At the beginning of my key November 2002 post on Samar (after which my apartment was ransacked in an apparent attempt on my life or at least an attempt at intimidation), I note the following:

This author has been in touch with the FBI since January 2002 regarding 'Waly Samar' and his potential involvement in the 2001 Anthrax mailings. Furthermore, a more detailed version of this article along with my associated articles on 'Waly Samar' was provided to the FBI on October 22nd, 2002. The real name and identity of 'Waly Samar' is here concealed. He currently works in New York City and likely resides in New Jersey. Today there is even more profound evidence which has come to light indicating that 'Waly Samar' may have been the culprit behind the 2001 Anthrax mail attacks. If you run an Intelius report on him, you'll see that he once lived at the apartment where the 1993 World Trade Center bombing plot was hatched by Ramzi Yousef, 'nephew' of the 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.

The building in which (Musab) Yasin (brother of indicted WTC bombing fugitive Abdul Yasin) lived, 34 Kensington Avenue, was so central to the (1993 World Trade Center bombing) plot that one law enforcement official dubbed it "the conspirator's den". What's more, Bacillus Subtilis, an Anthrax-like bacteria that is Samar's expertise, contaminated the Anthrax used in the 2001 mailings. Some believe this contamination constitutes the DNA 'fingerprint' by which to truly solve the FBI's now foregone Amerithrax investigation:

Scouring the anthrax-laced mail that took five lives and terrorized the East Coast in 2001, laboratory scientists discovered a unique contaminant — a tiny scientific fingerprint that they hoped would help unmask the killer.

One senior FBI official wrote in March 2007, in a recently declassified memo, that the potential clue "may be the most resolving signature found in the evidence to date."

Yet once FBI agents concluded that the likely culprit was Bruce Ivins — a mentally troubled, but widely regarded Army microbiologist — they stopped looking for the contaminant, after testing only a few work spaces of the scores of researchers using the anthrax strain found in the letters. They quit searching, despite finding no traces of the substance in hundreds of environmental samples from Ivins' lab, office, car and home.

It's been two and a half years since Ivins committed suicide in the face of prosecutors' threats to charge him with five murders, each carrying a potential death sentence. It's been more than a year since the Justice Department, despite lacking hard proof, formally declared that Ivins "perpetrated the anthrax letter attacks."

But the FBI's decision not to fully test for the distinct bacterial contaminant, pieced together by McClatchy in interviews with scientists, federal law enforcement officials and in a review of recently declassified bureau records, could reignite the debate over whether its agents found the real killer.

The Justice Department closed the eight-year investigation, said to cost as much as $100 million. However, none of the circumstantial evidence it found showed that Ivins prepared the deadly powder, scrawled "Death to America" in a seeming mimic of al Qaida, or twice sneaked away on six and a half hour roundtrip drives to drop them in a Princeton, N.J., mailbox.

If the FBI got the right man, then there is no consequence to its decision to stop hunting for bacillus subtilis, a harmless bacterial contaminant that resembles anthrax. But if Ivins was innocent, then the killer is at large, and the bureau may have missed a big opportunity.

The following reports from the investigative committee of the base laboratory stated that the necessary skills for the handling of the anthrax spores were possessed by Iraqi microbiologist Waly Samar, who worked in New York but lived in New Jersey, from where the first contaminated envelopes were sent [14]. He was a citizen of the USA and graduated from Hunter College where he received a doctorate degree in microbiology. It was easy for him to disguise his work under his investigation of non-pathogenic Bacillus subtilis, which is similar to the composition of the causative agent Bacillus anthracis, better known as anthrax. Since the laboratory techniques and technology used for both microorganism spores are very much alike and require similar precautions, his work was easily conducted under routine experimentation. As a highly competent microbiologist, Samar knew what had to be done in order to prevent contamination of laboratory facilities. Apart from filling the envelopes, he was not successful with the lyophilizing process of anthrax, indicating that the powdery material substance used was prepared ahead of time at a different location. Later it was found that some of the anthrax letters were contaminated with Bacillus subtilis spores. This bacteriological analyzes can be considered as evidence that handling with the anthrax letters was carried out in the lab in which Bacillus subtilis was cultivated...

...After the flasks containing the anthrax spores were given to Samar, he packaged the powder into the envelopes and placed the empty package in a laboratory biohazard waste bin which was removed daily to be destroyed. All of the operations Samar conducted were skillfully undetected by other laboratory staff.

The next step was to send the envelopes, who wrote the addresses on the envelopes, and who wrote the threatening note on the piece of paper. I hoped that investigators would be able to answer such questions as why certain addresses were selected and who put the letters into the mailbox. [FULL ARTICLE]

Finally, if you pull up a Google map between Samar's 2001 address on Elizabeth Ave, Piscataway, NJ and the mailbox at 10 Nassau St., Princeton, NJ where the Anthrax letters were mailed from, you'll see that Franklin Park and Kendall Park are en route - locations associated with the return address placed on the envelopes sent to Senators Daschle and Leahy:

News reports have pointed out that there is a town named “Franklin Park” in central New Jersey, but its Zip code is not 08852. Instead Zip code 08852 belongs to Monmouth Junction which is one town away from Franklin Park. The two towns are separated by a third town, Kendall Park.

There isn’t a Greendale School in central New Jersey, but there is a Greenbrook School in Kendall Park. Most reporters believe that the sender of anthrax letters changed Greenbrook to Greendale in an attempt to throw off investigators a bit.

What is interesting is that these three New Jersey towns actually meet at the intersection of Beekman Road and State Route 27 (AKA, Lincoln Highway). Franklin Park is on the north side of State Route 27, while Kendall Park is on the south side. A little sliver of Monmouth Junction follows Beekman Road and stops just before the intersection with State Route 27. Click here for a map to this intersection. What makes the Beekman/State Route 27 intersection so interesting is that the Greenbrook School is only about 1/3 of a mile southeast from this intersection at 30 Roberts St.. Except for a thick stand of trees, the school would be visible from the intersection. [SOURCE]

Also consider this article from ABC News, Doctor Says FBI, CDC Ignored 'Possible Lead':

A New Jersey doctor who wonders if he might have been the first person infected in the anthrax attack is still waiting for the FBI to talk to him about what he might know. What makes his story potentially significant is that his symptoms appeared long before those who were infected by the letters mailed Sept. 30 — actually a week before the terror attacks of Sept. 11. At the time he had a sore with a black scab, followed by what was diagnosed in a hospital as meningitis. In an interview with ABCNEWS' Good Morning America, Dr. Jerry Weisfogel said he may have had a brush with the anthrax attacker, but the government has ignored his story. .... Weisfogel works in the town of Kendall Park, N.J., which is near Franklin Park, the town found on the return address of the anthrax-contaminated letter that was mailed to Sen. Tom Daschle, D-S.D.

Thus, there is good reason to believe 'Waly Samar' was the culprit behind, or at least he was significantly involved in, the 2001 Anthrax mailings. Since this individual would almost certainly have been acting on behalf of Saddam's Iraq, the Iraq War was seemingly justified given that the former Iraqi dictator effectively used WMDs against America for terrorism.

In blaming Bruce Ivins in concluding the Amerithrax investigation, the USAMRIID scientist who committed suicide when he came under government scrutiny, the FBI and U.S. intelligence community have firmly established their incompetence IMHO:

Dow 11K & Dirty Bomb Threat / Mideast Tensions

Going into this weekend and the 10th anniversary of 9/11, there were reports of a credible terrorist threat for a "dirty bomb" attack in NYC and/or Washington DC:

Just two days before the 10th anniversary, New York City is on high alert.

Federal and local authorities have beefed up security after receiving intelligence about a credible threat. The alleged plot by al Qaeda involves detonating car bombs on bridges and in tunnels in New York and Washington D.C. to coincide with the anniversary of 9/11.

The crossroads of the world came to a grinding halt at various times Friday because for police Times Square has become the ground zero of the latest terror threat. Sources told CBS 2’s Marcia Kramer that another attempt to explode a bomb there is a key concern, and the intelligence suggests it could be a dirty bomb.

Ahead of the 10th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, authorities in New York and Washington DC were on high alert after receiving a "credible threat" that was also deemed to be "unconfirmed." The threat appears to be centered around the possibility of a car bomb, with particular concern for Times Square in the heart New York City's midtown which was the site of the last known car bomb attempt by a terrorist linked to Islamic causes.

Authorities are worried that the terrorist operatives could use a radiological "dirty bomb" this time around, according to a local CBS News report. A "dirty bomb" is defined as a conventional explosive device that is packed with common radioactive material, such as the waste discarded by hospitals and power plants.

Checkpoints were established throughout Manhattan, and vehicles and bags were inspected for traces of gunpowder and radiation. Radiation monitors have also been positioned in a 50-mile radius of New York City, throughout New Jersey and Connecticut. Police are also equipped with hand-held radiation detectors.

Now that the 10th anniversary memorials to 9/11 are over, I hope that NYC and federal officials remain vigilant.

For one, the purported purpose of al Qaeda terror attacks (which ultimately trace back to the Kremlin IMHO) are mass casualties. This year 9/11 fell on a Sunday leaving NYC mainly vacant for the memorial services. Dirty bombs are really weapons of mass disruption rather than mass destruction, so if any such attack is truly in the works, the odds are the terrorists would strike on a busy work day.
(Bioterror, on the other hand, is VERY dangerous.) This is particularly so on this occasion since the light traffic on Sunday allowed for very tight security for the 9/11 anniversary.

A second reason to be on alert, and I know most folks will have trouble fathoming this, is that the DJIA dropped sharply last Friday and closed below the psychologically important 11,000 mark:



I have been pointing out for years that significant historical shocks tend to erupt with reversals from psychologically important thousand marks in the DJIA and other major stock averages. One of the most profound examples occurred in early-September 2001 when the DJIA broke below the 10K mark and THEN 9/11 occurred:



Is a reversal from Dow 11K presaging a new terrorist attack in the U.S.? Also note that Egyptian mobs ransacked Israel's embassy in Cairo literally just as the DJIA was closing below 11,000 on Friday.

We are entering the "Fall" season now, so either which way people need to gird themselves for some very troubling days ahead IMHO. A dirty bomb terrorist attack could be part of that, but I think such an incident would be the least of our concerns compared to what's coming down the pike.

Norwegian terrorist, Anders Bhering Breivik, trained earlier this year at secret paramilitary camp in Belarus

Norwegian neo-fascist terrorist Anders Behring Breivik, who bombed and gunned down 76 adults and youths July 22nd, trained at a “secret paramilitary field camp” in the former Soviet republic of Belarus earlier this year.

“Breivik visited Belarus several times,” Mikhail Reshetnikov, leader of the opposition Belarusian Party of Patriots, told the Gazeta.ru online newspaper. “This spring, as part of his preparations for his twin attacks, he visited Minsk, where he underwent training at a secret paramilitary field camp.” Reshetnikov cited sources within Belarus’ “security organs,” meaning the Committee for State Security, which still bears its ominous Soviet-era name: KGB.

In his 1,500-page online manifesto, Breivik mentioned that he had visited Belarus to study the effects of fallout from the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster. The former Soviet republic’s state border agency confirms the Norwegian was in Belarus from March 4 to March 11, 2005. Concerning his more recent activities in Belarus, Minsk authorities are mum.

Reshetnikov claimed that earlier this year Breivik participated in “sabotage-terrorism drills” under the tutelage of a “former” Belarusian special service officer and that he had used a fake passport to enter Belarus. “His codename in Belarus’s KGB was Viking,” he added. “Rumors say he also had a girlfriend in Belarus.”

In the Mideast, one of the KGB's star recruits was Wadi Haddad, the deputy leader and head of foreign operations of the Marxist-Leninist Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). In 1970, the KGB made him an agent, according to files delivered to British intelligence by Vasili Mitrokhin, a former KGB archivist who defected to the U.K. in 1992. The most dramatic terrorist strike organized by Haddad was the Sept. 6, 1970 attack on four airliners bound for New York. The hijacking attempt on an El Al Boeing 707 departing from Tel Aviv failed after one of the two terrorists was shot by an air marshal. The other three airlines were successfully diverted to other landing strips by the hijackers. The passengers and crew of a Pan Am Boeing 747 were evacuated and the plane was blown up; in the other two cases, the terrorists negotiated prisoner swaps. (Those were more innocent pre-9/11 times.) Thanks to the Mitrokhin files, we know that the KGB provided arms to Haddad, and it is a fair assumption that his handlers were aware of his plans.

Next Sunday is the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks that so galvanized America to take a stand against the perceived enemy of "Islamofascism" thus leading to the War On Terror and the subsequent U.S. invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq.

But did we get it right?

The inconvenient truth is that "The Old Enemy" responsible for 9/11 remains unrecognized.

On 9/11, the World Trade Center towers were destroyed and the Pentagon seriously damaged. These were ultimate symbols of American "Capitalism" and "Imperialism" in the eyes of the Communist powers-of-old and for this attack to occur in an underhanded manner such that Islamic militants were blamed rather than the Kremlin would be a source of great pride for Russia's secret services. (That the Jews and America itself are blamed for 9/11 by so many is an even larger feather in their cap!)

As repeatedly addressed in my articles and this blog, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind of 9/11 and virtually all the terrorism against America that has been attributed to Al Qaeda, is likely not who he claims to be.

In July of 2009 the following image of Khalid Mohammed was released:


In his 2007 military tribunal, Khalid says "Yes" to 31 stated confessions including responsiblity for the 9/11 attacks (from A to Z) and the first terrorist attempt to destroy the World Trade Center towers in 1993:

The real Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was born on April 14th, 1965 (per his Kuwaiti Interior Ministry files) and grew up in Kuwait. Between 1983 and 1986, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed studied in the U.S. and received a college degree in mechanical engineering. As Time magazine reported regarding KSM : "His English is flawless, and his intelligence formidable. He raced through an engineering degree at the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro in just two and a half years, graduating in 1986".

Here's the problem.

If Khalid Mohammed was born in 1965, then in July of 2009 he was 44 years-old. Does the man above look 44 years-old? Here's an image of KSM just after he was captured in Pakistan in March of 2003 when he should have been 37 years-old:

(Sammy) Zitawi, who is a now a small businessman in Greensboro, says his (college) friend, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, was one of the stars. "This guy was funny, he could make you laugh," he said. "He could make fun out of anything."

Zitawi said the disheveled, balding Khalid Sheikh Mohammed who was photographed right after his capture in Pakistan looked nothing like what he remembered. The Khalid Sheikh Mohammed he knew was a small man, just 5-foot-4 and maybe 135 pounds. "He had a cute face with a beard. He had a long hair back then. That's why I didn't know him when he had less hair and no beard. They were talking Khalid Mohammed, I knew him as Khalid Sheikh."

Furthermore, if Khalid's English was known to be flawless, why is the language from his confession above so tortured? I have a hard time believing anybody who speaks such atrocious English could graduate from an American college, never mind on an accelerated basis.

The truth of the matter IMO is that the real Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was killed, along with his extended family, when Iraq occupied Kuwait in 1990. These identities were then handed to highly-skilled terrorist operatives from Baluchistan that were used to carry out the major acts of terrorism against the U.S. that were attributed to Al Qaeda.

Short and to the point, Laurie quickly zeroes in on how a mysterious family from Baluchistan has overseen almost all the major terrorist attacks against America starting with the World Trade Center bombing in 1993 and culminating in 9/11. Indeed, Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda are almost a footnote to what this family has done.

As I've highlighted before, you can easily establish how America and the world has fallen victim to black-ops by professionally trained terrorists using false identities by comparing the DNA of the various members from this Baluch family terrorist network that have thus far been captured, e.g., Ramzi Yousef (AKA Abdul Basit and the '93 WTC bombing mastermind), Basit's uncle Khalid Mohammed and the 9/11 mastermind, Ammar al-Baluchi (aka Ali Abdul Aziz Ali) - Khalid Mohammed's "other nephew" and right-hand man (the 9/11 paymaster) and Abdul Karim - Ramzi Yousef's supposed brother. If you compare the DNA between these guys, I'm sure you'll find they aren't even directly related. They are simply skilled Baluchi terrorist operatives trained by the KGB and Saddam's Mukhabarrat and handed useful false identities from a Western-travelled family from Kuwait (to facilitate unimpeded travel in the West by terrorist operatives) that ceased to exist when Iraq occupied the Kuwaiti emirate in 1990/91.

(Interestingly, upon her insistence, I met Dr. Mylroie on March 1st, 2003 for lunch at the Pentagon City Ritz-Carlton to discuss my supposition that KSM was using a false identity. Before I headed down from my hotel room, news broke of his arrest on CNN and I actually informed her of it.)



The only key point where I and Laurie differ is on who is ultimately behind the terrorism directed at America to-date. Iraqi intelligence may have usurped key Baluchi terrorists during the Iran/Iraq War in the 1980s and later used them to underhandedly seek vengeance against the U.S. for the first Gulf War, but it is doubtful the this could have been done without the involvement of Russia's intelligence services. These highly-skilled terrorists were trained by the KGB, which built the Baluch resistance groups during Russia's occupation of Afghanistan during the 1980s. We consulted Sasha and Misha, two former KGB officers who are Afghanists – the veterans of Russo-Afghan war – and they seem to know Balochistan better than most Pakistanis. Obviously, Sasha and Misha are not their real names. They live on the same street in one of the quieter suburbs of Moscow. Two bonds tie them together in their retirement: While on active duty in KGB, they were both frequent travelers to Balochistan during the Russo-Afghan war where they were tasked to foment trouble in Pakistan; and they are both wary of Vodka, the mandatory nectar of Russian cloak and dagger community. They visit each other almost every day and that is why it was easy to catch them together for long chats over quantities of green tea and occasional bowls of Borsch.

We made more than a dozen visits to the single-bedroom flat of Misha, where Sasha was also found more often than not, and we picked their brains on Balochistan situation. As and when we unearthed new information on Balochistan, we returned to Sasha and Misha for comments.

As they told us, during the Russo-Afghan war, the Soviet Union was surprised by the ability and resourcefulness of Pakistan to generate a quick and effective resistance movement in Afghanistan. To punish Pakistan and to answer back in the same currency, Kremlin decided to create some organizations that would specialize in sabotage activities in Pakistan. One such organization was BLA (Balochistan Liberation Army), the brainchild of KGB that was built around the core of BSO (Baloch Students Organization). BSO was a group of assorted left-wing students in Quetta and some other cities of Balochistan.

Misha and Sasha can be considered among the architects of the original BLA.

Iraq's intelligence service, the Mukhabarrat, which was created by the KGB, would have been behind establishing the false identities ('legends') for these terrorists from a Kuwait-based family eliminated in 1990/91. KSM and 'family' then served the vengeful purposes of Baghdad (e.g., the '93 WTC bombing occurred on the 2nd anniversary of Kuwait's liberation from Iraqi occupation)....but these terrorists also served the purposes of Russian intelligence services who have long sought to engage in "Grey Terror" using Islamic extremists that could not be traced back to Moscow. Taking down the WTC Towers and striking the Pentagon were the most symbolic blows imaginable against American capitalism and imperialism....something our communist foes-of-old would revel in. To have achieved this in a way completely delinked from apparent responsibility would be a tremendous achievement for Russia's intelligence services.

If you find it difficult to believe that Russia would be behind terrorist operations against the West, I suggest you consider what FSB defector Alexander Litvinenko had to say about Al Qaeda and Ayman al Zawahiri, al Qaeda's supposed #2 leader and the effective operational leader of this now infamous international terrorist network (see quotes above). Indeed, many believe Osama bin Laden is simply a figurehead of al Qaeda (who may be dead), and that it is Zawahiri who is really running the show. Litvinenko, who was assassinated by Russian secret services with radioactive Polonium in 2006 (I ran the Litvinenko Chronicles before he was murdered), pointed out that Ayman al Zawahiri was trained by the KGB and that Al Qaeda is a Kremlin proxy being used to strike the West underhandedly. This is also the opinion of other key defectors from Russian intelligence such as Ion Pacepa, ex-chief of Romanian intelligence, and Stanislav Lunev, the highest ranking defector from the GRU, Russia's military intelligence service.

What do we know about the new head of al-Qaeda, Ayman al-Zawahiri?

Not very much. We know he`s a former `emir` of the Egyptian Islamic Jihad who spent three years in an Egyptian prison after his group assassinated the pro-western President Anwar Sadat. He`s also said to be a qualified surgeon, who became bin Laden`s personal physician and adviser in the late 1980s.

But there is one curious fact about him that it would be foolish for the West to ignore: his links with the KGB, and its successor, Russia`s Federal Security Service, or FSB.

It was Alexander Litvinenko, the rebel FSB officer assassinated with radioactive material in London in 2006, who named al-Zawahiri as `Moscow`s man in al-Qaeda`. In a interview following the 7 July 2005 attacks in London, he claimed that the future al-Qaeda chief had stayed in an FSB training centre in Dagestan, in the North Caucasus, in 1998.

`He took a six-month special training course there. Then he was sent to Afghanistan, where he had never been before. Immediately after that, under supervision of his FSB bosses, he penetrated bin Laden`s entourage and soon became his deputy in al-Qaeda . . . I saw those officers from the FSB directorate for Dagestan, who had been training al-Zawahiri shortly before, being reassigned to Moscow and getting promotions.`

- RUSSIAN FOREKNOWLEDGE OF 9/11 -
There seems to be little doubt that Russian intelligence had foreknowledge of the 9/11 attacks in the U.S.

In August of 2001, Russians were warned by Pravda and other major Kremlin-run news outlets to get out of dollars in anticipation of a coming financial attack against America.

The day after 9/11, Izvestia reported the following:

September 12, 2001 (14:15) Yesterday at the headquarters of Central Intelligence Service in Langley a confidential meeting between one of the Deputy Directors of CIA and a special messenger of Russian Intelligence Service took place. According to NewsRu sources he delivered to his American colleagues some documents including audio tapes with telephone conversations directly relating to terrorist attacks on Washington and New York last Tuesday. According to these sources, Russian Intelligence agents know the organizers and executors of these terrorist attacks. More than that, Moscow warned Washington about preparation to these actions a couple of weeks before they happened.

In May of 2002, Fox News reported:

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said publicly that he ordered his intelligence agencies to alert the United States last summer that suicide pilots were training for attacks on U.S. targets.

Given that Moscow had the inside scoop that "suicide pilots were training for attacks on U.S. targets", why would have they gone ahead with the following potentially diversionary air drill the day before 9/11?

- MASSIVE RUSSIAN AIR EXERCISES DIVERTED NORAD'S ATTENTION ON 9/11 -
NORAD and U.S. air defenses were distracted by an extraordinarily large and highly provocative air-exercise by Russia toward North American air space on the morning of 9/11:

NORAD Maintains Northern Vigilance

Sept. 9, 2001

CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN AFS, Colo. – The North American Aerospace Defense Command shall deploy fighter aircraft as necessary to Forward Operating Locations (FOLS) in Alaska and Northern Canada to monitor a Russian air force exercise in the Russian arctic and North Pacific ocean.

“NORAD is the eyes and ears of North America and it is our mission to ensure that our air sovereignty is maintained,” said Lieutenant-General Ken Pennie, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of NORAD. “Although it is highly unlikely that Russian aircraft would purposely violate Canadian or American airspace, our mission of vigilance must be sustained.”

NORAD-allocated forces will remain in place until the end of the Russian exercise.

From NTI, September 2001:

Maneuvers to simulate defense against a large-scale airspace attack began on 10 September 2001. According to Air Force chief Anatoliy Kornukov, they were intended to cover the whole Arctic, as well as northern parts of the Pacific and the Atlantic oceans, including the vicinity of Norway, Iceland, the United States, Canada, and Great Britain. The main task was reportedly to penetrate the air defense of NATO and North America (NORAD). As part of the exercise, long-range bombers were moved to auxiliary bases in Anadyr, Tiksi, and Vorkuta. A new element of these maneuvers was, according to newspaper reports, training for the use of long-range ALCMs outside the reach of NORAD (since Russia has had long-range nuclear ALCMs since the 1980s, apparently these reports meant conventional ALCMs, which began to appear in the Russian Armed Forces only in the late 1990s).

On Sept. 11, Norad's radars were spread around the periphery of the U.S., looking outward for potential invaders. Inside U.S. borders, very few radars were feeding NEADS (Northeast Air Defense Sector) scopes. In essence, technicians were half-blind...

From The Washington Times, 9/11/01:

Russian warplanes threatened patrolling U.S. Navy P-3 aircraft over the Pacific Ocean last week as the American planes monitored a military exercise in the region, The Washington Times has learned.

At one point during the aerial harassment, a MiG-31 interceptor pilot flew his jet within 50 feet of a P-3 maritime patrol and reconnaissance plane.

The incident was similar to a Chinese aerial intercept that resulted in a collision earlier this year.

One alarming sign of the Russian intercept was a radio message sent by one MiG-31 pilot to his base stating his fire-control radar had "locked on" to the U.S. surveillance plane, U.S. intelligence officials said. A radar "lock" is a pilot's final step before firing a guided missile.

"It was a threatening action," said one official.

Meanwhile, Russian strategic air forces began a major exercise in the northern Pacific yesterday. The maneuvers will include practice missile attacks, Russia's official Itar-Tass news agency reported.

Strategic Tu-160 Blackjack and Tu-95 Bear bombers and Tu-22 and IL-78 tanker aircraft reportedly will take part. The exercises are set to continue until Friday.

In response to the war games, the Air Force announced on Sunday that it is sending additional fighter aircraft "as necessary" to Alaska and northern Canada to monitor the exercises.

"Norad is the eyes and ears of North America, and it is our mission to ensure that our air sovereignty is maintained," said Air Force Lt. Gen. Ken Pennie, deputy commander in chief of Norad.

"Although it is highly unlikely that Russian aircraft would purposely violate Canadian or American airspace, our mission of vigilance must be sustained," the North American Aerospace Defense Command (Norad) statement said.

The statement said the additional U.S. jets would remain at two bases in Alaska and one in Canada until the end of the Russian exercises.

The Russian air drill toward North America that started the day before 9/11, the first of such scale up to that point since the Soviet Union had collapsed a decade beforehand, might have been timed to constrain U.S. responsiveness to the hijacked airliner attacks that occurred. Russia may have engaged in highly provocative maneuvers in the Pacific the week before 9/11 and a massive air exercise to the north as the attacks unfolded so that NORAD and U.S. air defenses would be distracted.

- MOSCOW'S MOTIVE -
As for why no major terrorism has occurred against the U.S. since 9/11, I believe the answer is simple. America was being lured into military action in the Islamic world by the 9/11 attacks. Moscow's strategic objective has therefore been achieved.

From Ion Pacepa, the highest-ranking intelligence official ever to have defected from the former Eastern Bloc of the Soviet Union:

In 1972, the Kremlin decided to turn the whole Islamic world against Israel and the U.S. As KGB chairman Yury Andropov told me, a billion adversaries could inflict far greater damage on America than could a few millions. We needed to instill a Nazi-style hatred for the Jews throughout the Islamic world, and to turn this weapon of the emotions into a terrorist bloodbath against Israel and its main supporter, the United States. Terrorism and violence against Israel and her master, American Zionism, would flow naturally from the Muslims’ religious fervor, Andropov sermonized. We had only to keep repeating our themes — that the United States and Israel were “fascist, imperial-Zionist countries” bankrolled by rich Jews. Islam was obsessed with preventing the infidels’ occupation of its territory, and it would be highly receptive to our characterization of the U.S. Congress as a rapacious Zionist body aiming to turn the world into a Jewish fiefdom. Now the U.S. is isolated on the world stage and popularly deemed to be an imperialist warmonger spearheading the forces of "Zionism". Thus, we are ripe for thermonuclear picking by "The Old Enemy", as is the plan.

If you follow the trail of evidence presented above, the harsh reality you will find is that the case I'm presenting is true. Yet, no matter how compelling the evidence and the arguments presented, the vast majority will simply refuse to believe the truth and continue to "cooperate in their own destruction".
