U.S. Aircraft Carrier Arrives in South Korea

Bookmark and Share

The American aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson docked at Busan port in South Korea on Tuesday.

It's a show of force with a strike group that includes a destroyer, a cruiser and fighter jet and anti-submarine helicopter squadrons.

The group is on a regularly scheduled deployment to the Western Pacific, and is due to take part in exercises with Japan in the East China Sea.

But officials said there were no plans for drills in South Korean waters.
