Tomorrow is Elul 29 on the Hebrew calendar, the last day of the Jewish year 5774. Starting Thursday (actually at sunset tomorrow), a new Sabbatical year, the Jewish "Shemitah", will begin. Is this the 'End of the Age'?
THE MYSTERY OF THE SHEMITAH
Pastor Jonathan Cahn, a messianic Jewish Rabbi who leads Hope of the World ministries in New Jersey, just released a new book, The Mystery of the Shemitah, which focuses on the historical relationships between the Jewish "Shemitah", the Sabbatical year of rest that recurs every seven years on the Hebrew calendar, and economic and geopolitical crises.
Of particular note were the last two Shemitahs from September 30, 2000 to September 17, 2001 and from September 13, 2007 to September 29, 2008 (the Hebrew calendar year is based upon a lunar year). Both of these periods saw substantial reversals in the stock market and economy that were capped by major crashes on the very last day of the Jewish year, Elul 29.
Elul 29 has special significance to Jewish believers in the Sabbatical year:
At the end of seven years you will make a release. And this is the manner of the release: to release the hand of every creditor from what he lent his friend; he shall not exact from his friend or his brother, because the time of the release for the Lord has arrived. (Deuteronomy 15:1–2)
Personal debts are considered forgiven at sunset on the 29th of Elul. Since this aspect of shmita is not dependent on the land, it applies to Jews both in Israel and elsewhere. (Wiki)
....there is an intriguing phenomenon surrounding the date of Elul 29 on the Jewish calendar. As Rabbi Cahn discovered and spelled out in his book, The Harbinger, on this last day on the Jewish calendar in the last two Sabbatical Years, 2001 and 2008 (Sabbatical Years occur every seven years under Jewish tradition), two of the three largest point drops in the DJIA in stock market history occurred:
As pointed out in the section of my April (2012) blog dubbed, "The Mystery Of The Shmita & The Septennial Sabbatical Cycle", it's an incredible coincidence that two of the three largest point drops in the Dow struck on the last day of the seven-year Jewish Sabbatical cycle. In fact, statistically the odds of this occurring are more than a million to one.
So maybe God's trying to make a point with us. What point could that be?
Israeli warplanes struck a military base near the northern Syrian city of Latakia on Thursday, an Obama administration official confirmed to CNN.
The target, according to the Obama administration official, was missiles and related equipment the Israelis felt might be transferred to Hezbollah.
The Al Arabiya network reported Thursday that Israel has carried out two strikes in Syria, in order to prevent trucks from carrying weapons to Hizbullah in Lebanon. The attacks reportedly took place near Damascus and in the Latakiya region. At least one of the attacks took place on the night between Wednesday and Thursday.
The report said that the trucks were carrying SAM-8 missiles. Jerusalem refused to comment on the report.
The world seems relatively calm at the current juncture and I hope and pray it remains this way.
However, based upon my form of analysis of mass mood cycles and associated geopolitical events, I see that there's a possibility of an imminent global explosion. I pray that I'm wrong as usual, but I feel compelled to express the potential I see.
In recent posts I've been highlighting the potential for significant historical "panics" to strike in the autumn period.
In fact, the window for mass panics is quite specific usually occurring into the end of the seventh lunar month on the Hebrew calendar, i.e., the month of Tishrei. As explained in my previous blog, the Hebrew calendar is running a lunar month early this year which pushes out the potential panic prone month to the eighth lunar month, Cheshvan. The key dates in the month tend to fall between the 25th and 28th days. In the award-winning article on the topic written by Chris Carolan, these are referred to as the "Dark Days" that witnessed the extreme panic climaxes in the 1929, 1987, 1997 and 2008 global financial crises.
As my work further noted, the highest DEFCON nuclear alerts in history also peaked during this period during the October 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis and October 1973 Yom Kippur Arab-Israeli War indicating this was the closest points in history the world ever came to global nuclear war.
As it stands there is no developing financial crisis and the possibility of a 1929/1987-style stock market crash seems very remote. But could there suddenly arise an unprecedented geopolitical crisis that involves the threat of global nuclear war? There is reason to believe so, although the possibility also seems remote.
For years Iran has been progressing toward the development of nuclear weapons under the hawkish eye of Israel. The Jewish state simply will not allow the mullahs in Tehran to build the means to follow through on their long-stated threat to annihilate the Jews. This point was highlighted in the recent address of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to the United Nations assembly:
In the wake of that potentially final warning to the world that Israel will not stand by for a nuclear armed Iran, the Institute for Science and International Security released on October 24th an alarming report indicating the Iran may have a breakout capability to produce a nuclear weapon within one month's time.
A new report that says Iran may need as little as a month to produce enough uranium for a nuclear bomb is further evidence for why Israel will take military action before that happens, an Israeli defense official said Friday.
"We have made it crystal clear – in all possible forums, that Israel will not stand by and watch Iran develop weaponry that will put us, the entire Middle East and eventually the world, under an Iranian umbrella of terror," Danny Danon, Israel's deputy defense minister told USA TODAY.
Iran is developing and installing new and advanced centrifuges that enable Iran to enrich even low-enriched uranium to weapons grade uranium needed for nuclear weapons within weeks, Danon said.
"This speedy enrichment capability will make timely detection and effective response to an Iranian nuclear breakout increasingly difficult," he said.
"Breakout" refers to the time needed to convert low-enriched uranium to weapons-grade uranium. On Thursday, the Institute for Science and International Security issued a report stating that Iran could reach that breakout in as little as one month based in part on Iran's own revelations about its nuclear program.
"If they use all their centrifuges ... and their stockpiles of low- and medium-enriched uranium, that would take one to 1.6 months," said David Albright, president of the institute and a former inspector for the U.N. International Atomic Energy Agency.
In a display of muscle-flexing to Tehran ahead of nuclear talks between Iran and world powers, Israel made a rare announcement Thursday that its air force had conducted a series of drills in which fighter aircraft practiced midair refueling and a simulated strike on a distant target.
A video, unprecedentedly uploaded to YouTube by the IDF Thursday, shows F-15 and F-16 fighter jets refueling midair over the water. It was published shortly after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to a series of European TV interviewers, warning the EU not to ease sanctions against Iran. “When a murderous regime engages in soft diplomacy and uses calming words of peace, but nevertheless continues to acquire immense power — it must be stopped, immediately,” Netanyahu said.
An initial impression of the publicized exercise with Greece and Netanyahu's call at the U.N. to increase sanctions on Iran is that Israel is not planning any sort of imminent attack but is pursuing more concerted international pressure on Iran. However, this might be intentionally deceptive. If Israel was planning an imminent attack, they'd want Tehran to believe such is not the case.
So let's presume that Israel is planning an imminent strike against Iran, when would this most likely occur in the immediate future? This is where the phase of the moon and weather come into play. The odds are Israel would seek to conduct an air strike within five days of a new moon when the cover of darkness is optimal. The next new moon (which also happens to be a solar eclipse) will occur on November 3rd. As for weather, October 30th and 31st offer the clearest skies over Iran in the coming week.
Thus, if Israel is planning to exploit the November 3rd new moon darkness for an air strike on Iran, we are now in the window when this is most likely to occur. This so happens to coincide with the seasonal window that has witnessed the greatest panics in history; in this case Cheshvan 26-28 (October 30th to November 1st).
Again, I hope I'm wrong as usual, but I see enough here that I think a warning is warranted.
First off, precisely in conjunction with Secretary of State Kerry's August 26th bellicose speech regarding possible Western military action against Syria, the DJIA reversed sharply below the psychologically important 15000 mark:
Typically, these panics take a financial form such as the 1929, 1987 and 2008 stock market crashes, but they also can take the form of apocalyptic scares like the October 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, the October 1973 Arab-Israeli War, and 9/11 and the subsequent Anthrax mailings.
My work is drawn from an award-winning 1998 article written by Chris Carolan, Autumn Panics: A Calendar Phenomenon, which points out the tendency for financial panics to climax into the 28th day of the 7th month on the annual lunar calendar:
I took Carolan's discovery a step further utilizing the lunar-based Hebrew calendar. What I found is the tendency is for mass panics to develop in between the full moon and new moon in the second half of the 7th month on the lunar calendar which is generally equivalent to the period between Tishrei 15 and Tishrei 30 on the Hebrew calendar (usually late-October on the Gregorian calendar). During this Hebrew calendar window, the following major "panics" took place:
Note that I've included in the list above the October 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis and October 1973 Arab/Israeli Yom Kippur War since, while not reflected in major stock market crashes, these historical crises were still effectively mass panics. This was signified on both occasions by the fact that the highest DEFCON nuclear alerts ever were reached during these crises, actually peaking right into the same time frame of the 7th lunar month as when the stock market crashes in 1929 and 1987 climaxed.
In 2013, Tishrei 25-26 on the Hebrew calendar will fall on September 29-30 on the Gregorian calendar. Thus, we are now entering the period when mass panics tend to kick-off according to mass mood seasonality. If a mass panic develops, it may climax into late-September as the historical pattern suggests. The period of greatest danger, i.e., when an epic "crash" (upset of collective beliefs and expecations) could occur in the form of a surprise nuclear third world war, should be after the full moon in September going into the new moon in October between 9/19 and 10/4.

On the anniversary of Barack Obama drawing a "red line" with Bashar Assad's regime over using chemical weapons, Syria unleashes a vicious Sarin gas attack on rebels killing hundreds:
What's more, Syria made this move days after a U.N. team arrived in Damascus to investigate prior potential chemical attacks in the country, and the site of the attack on August 21st just happened to be a few miles from the hotel where the U.N. investigators were headquartered:
Mr Assad has been advancing recently, beating back the rebels and recapturing territory. Using chemical weapons might make sense when he is losing, but why launch gas attacks when he is winning anyway?
Moreover, United Nations inspectors charged with discovering the truth about chemical weapons in Syria arrived in Damascus on Sunday. Superficially, it would seem strange for the regime to gas its enemies within 72 hours of letting these experts into the country. [UK Telegraph]
The timing and location of the reported chemical weapons use - just three days after the team of U.N. chemical experts checked in to a Damascus hotel a few km (miles) to the east at the start of their mission - was surprising.
"It would be very peculiar if it was the government to do this at the exact moment the international inspectors come into the country," said Rolf Ekeus, a retired Swedish diplomat who headed a team of UN weapons inspectors in Iraq in the 1990s.
"At the least, it wouldn't be very clever."
Ekeus said the mandate of the U.N. team was limited to three sites but could be amended to investigate fresh claims - which would be simpler to verify than the other months-old cases.
"It is easier to do sampling and testing, and also to look at the victims, if there are sick people or even dead people (on the scene). It is easier to get to doctors and get to the place where the event happened." [Reuters]

An intelligence report detailing evidence of the alleged attack could be released as early as Tuesday, a U.S. official told CNN. The report will include forensic evidence and intercepted communications among Syrian military commanders, the official said.

As the Obama Administration now rushes to take military action against Bashar Assad's regime for crossing the President's "red line", an utterly predictable response, does it dawn upon anyone, save me, that this is a colossal strategic trap?
In fact, what has formed is a rather ominous "diagonal triangle" that typically marks the end of a major upswing pattern in mass mood:
What's telling is that this Elliott Wave pattern has unfolded into the upper channel line of the rise in stock prices dating back to the Great Depression:
In a prophetic, religious context, think of this as representing the peak of Capitalism and Western Civilization, and the associated mass servitude, worship and "love" (valuation) of Mammon (wealth; greed). Indeed, this is well represented by America's modern-day "Golden Calf", the bronze Charging Bull statue by Wall Street:
[As to why Wall Street's mood swings in Elliott Wave fractal patterns and why seeming exogenous geopolitical shocks are connected to reversals from thousand mark psychological barriers in the DJIA, this is because history unfolds in a fractal pattern which implies that what we are collectively experiencing is holographic in nature. What will happen in the wake of this peak?

Thus, I do not believe it is mere coincidence that just as we are topping around Dow 14K, there's news of an Israeli air-strike against Syria that might provoke a military response by Syria and/or Iran and/or Iran's proxy force of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon:
The presumed Israeli airstrike within Syrian territory on Wednesday has elicited threats of retaliation from both Syria and Iran. Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdul-Karim Ali, quoted at al-Ahd, a Hezbollah-run news website, contended that his nation could make “a surprise decision to respond to the aggression of the Israeli warplanes,” adding that ”Syria is engaged in defending its sovereignty and its land.” In Iran, a deputy foreign minister was quoted by English-language Press TV as saying the “strike on Syria will have serious consequences for Tel Aviv.” He did not elaborate. Two weeks ago a disturbing video was uploaded to the internet the purports to show Syrian "rebels" killing two rabbits with Sarin nerve gas. It was suppposedly a warning by the rebels that they have and are prepared to use chemical weapons in the struggle against Bashar Assad's regime.
As far as I can ascertain, the first copy of the video was uploaded to the pro-Assad YouTube channel, TheSyriatube. Soon thereafter a copy of the video was uploaded to the pro-Assad YouTube channel for the Syrian Tribune, but this time with English subtitles. The heading for the video is: "Syria Rebels testing Tekkim chemicals to use as chem weapons":
As the room is panned in the video, you see containers of chemicals like potassium nitrate, sodium nitrate, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, urea, etc., none of which are used in the production of nerve agents like Sarin and VX. They are useful in producing explosives (potassium nitrate is a key ingredient for gun powder) but not chemical weapons.
What you have therefore is an amateurish attempt to associate Turkey (READ: NATO) with what comes next in the video.
Next, you see an individual wearing chemical warfare garments pour a liquid in a vial into a larger vial within a glass chamber containing two rabbits. A heavy gas the pours out of the container exposing the rabbits. Within a minute or so, the rabbits start convulsing and then die, a typical fatal mammalian reaction to exposure to Sarin gas which is produced by combining two liquids (isopropanol and methylphosphonyl difluoride) just as shown.

Thus, the purported Syrian rebel YouTube video does appear to show the use of Sarin nerve agent on two rabbits.
Now let's consider what misinformation the "rebel" video seeks to convey.
Iran's Fars News Agency reported on the video in an article dubbed, "MP: Chemical Attack by Rebels Much More Possible than by Syrian Gov't", which appeared days after after the video was posted:
On Sunday, a shocking video posted on YouTube and other Internet networks showed Al Qaeda terrorists who are active in Syria within the framework of the Free Syrian Army are preparing to use chemical weapons against Syrian Shiites. The video showed the group testing chemical weapons on lab rabbits.
On the video, it appeared to be a nerve gas that rebels used on the rabbits. Then about a minute later, the rabbits were seen having convulsions.
The person carrying out the test, said in the video, "You saw what happened? This will be your fate, you infidel Alawites, I swear by ALLAH to make you die like these rabbits, one minute only after you inhale the gas."
On Saturday, the Syrian Foreign Ministry had warned that the armed rebels might use chemical weapons against the civilian population and the Syrian army.
"Terrorist groups may resort to using chemical weapons against the Syrian people... after having gained control of a toxic chlorine factory in the Eastern Aleppo," Syria's state SANA news agency quoted the foreign ministry as saying
The ministry was believed to be referring to the Syrian-Saudi Chemicals Company (SYSACCO) factory near Safira near Aleppo, which was taken over earlier this week by the armed rebels from the terrorist group Al-Nusra Front, affiliated to the al-Qaeda.
It's been widely reported that the Al-Nusra Front had overtaken the Syrian-Saudi Chemicals Company (SYSACCO) "chlorine" factory near Safira, but there's conflicting reports as to whether or not chemical weapons are stored there. Near to this location is a known chemical weapons depot where SCUD missiles targeting Israel are also located that are tipped with chemical warheads. Since President Obama has even identified Al-Nusra as a terrorist group affiliated with al Qaeda, the prospect of Al-Nusra taking control of such a site is very alarming.
Of course, if such a sensitive site as Safira was to be overrun by rebel forces, you'd think Syria would put up a far more potent counterforce to defend it from occupation since losing their chemical weapons would mean rebel forces gaining access to weapons of mass destruction. At the least, you'd think Bashar Assad's forces would act to destroy any WMDs stored there to prevent there use by rebels.
Ultimately, however, I think this is all part of a setup for a war involving the use of chemical weapons by Syria ultimately against Israel. By hiding this under a seeming civil war in Syria, it's possible to make everything appear to be the "imperialist" West's fault....whether a chemical SCUD missile attack on Israel comes from the regular Syrian army or from al-Qaeda terrorists operating as rebels.
That everything is being lined up to blame the West for the mess that's being concocted is revealed by the following interview with the editor of the Syrian Tribune (the YouTube channel on which was posted the rabbit video with English subtitles above) that appeared on RussiaToday the day after the videos were uploaded to the internet:
Ultimately, the strategic objective is triggering a nuclear third world war and the destruction of Israel, America and the Western allies. Precisely how the global chess pieces will be played from Syria remains to be seen, but make no mistake about it. What your witnessing is NOT what it appears to be.

Well....first off, let's get something straight. World War Three has been underway for years. The tragedy is that Western intelligence is so foolish they don't even realize the struggle has been underway.
In a recently published book, Behind the Desert Storm: A Secret Archive Stolen From the Kremlin, Russian exile Pavel Stroilov (who translated and edited Alexander Litvinenko’s book, Allegations) sheds new light on how Moscow's machinations have shaped the explosive Middle East tinderbox of today based upon his examination of 50,000 top-secret Kremlin documents he stole from the Gorbachev Foundation archives. From Claire Berlinski's insightful article, The Cold War’s Arab Spring, we read:
Stroilov’s book....challenges the conventional wisdom that Western colonialists are to blame for the chaos in the region. All of its major conflicts, he argues, were caused by Soviet expansionism. Terrorism and the rabid anti-Israeli animus of the Arab world were Soviet inspirations....The documents clearly suggest that many contemporary conflicts in the Middle East were fomented by the Soviet empire, particularly in the final years before its break-up. And the events he describes have had a significant impact upon the current state of the region...
In 1972, I had a breakfast with then-KGB chairman Yury Andropov in Moscow. The Kremlin, he told me, had decided to transform Arab anti-Semitism into an anti-American doctrine for the whole Muslim world. The idea was to portray the United States as a war-mongering, Zionist country financed by Jewish money and run by a rapacious “Council of the Elders of Zion” (the KGB’s derisive epithet for the U.S. Congress) intent on transforming the rest of the world into a Jewish fiefdom. In this context, what the world has been witnessing in recent decades are the initial battles of World War Three before a final ultimate battle between East and West in which, borrowing a term from Ronald Reagan, the "Evil Empire" is planning to champion itself as the good guy and world savior (quite literally) while Israel, America and NATO are made out to be the "imperialist, Zionist" bad guys to blame for the coming holocaust of mass destruction.

So in the context of the case I'm presenting, has World War Three begun with Israel's newest conflict with Gaza?
Well, what can be argued is that we are now entering a far more dangerous and acute phase of a third world war that's been underway for decades already. Clearly, Israel's action in Gaza is likely to cement the emergent dominant worldview that the Jews are the belligerent bad guys that need to be dealt with militarily once and for all. The extremist Islamic regime in Egypt, chaos in Syria and Iran seemingly being pushed into a corner over its nuclear ambitions opens the way for an unexpected Arab/Islamic reaction to Israel's newest Gaza campaign, i.e., this time around a full-scale regional conflict in the Mideast may be set-off. This war, in turn, could well lead to the involvement of America and Russia on opposing sides and the use of weapons of mass destruction. Hence, the apocalyptic vision I experienced in February of 1991 that led me to uncover the global mass delusion I believe God has sent me into this world to dispel.
The stock market continued its downward spiral today in the wake of Tuesday's reelection of Barack Obama. The DJIA and Nasdaq Composite have now decisively broken below the psychologically important 13000 and 3000 marks, respectively. What's more, the DJIA and key S&P500 index have broken below their technically important 200-day moving averages:
The problem, as I've long been warning, is that the potential scale of an autumn panic this time around is far greater than what was experienced in 1929 and 1987. Robert Prechter, the "Elliott Wave Theorist", has for some time been warning that based upon the fractal-based Elliott Wave pattern, the stock market might be headed for a collapse of epic proportions. Indeed, the long-term chart pattern suggests we just entered what I've dubbed the "Apocalypse Wave" which could involve a 99%+ drop in stock prices:
So does this mean that major stock market crash is about to unfold? If so, why?
The DJIA just broke decisively below the psychologically important 13000 mark. As noted in my prior blogs, in years past when the DJIA has broken below key thousand mark psychological barriers major historical shocks have erupted such as the 1973 Yom Kippur Arab-Israeli War, Iraq's 1990 invasion of Kuwait and 9/11:
Similarly, is a major historical shock about to erupt at the current historical juncture? Will this shock come in the form of what I foresaw in February 1991, i.e., a third world war that begins with a chemical SCUD missile attack on Israel? Such a potential crisis certainly seems possible at the current juncture given recent news out of the Middle East of a flare-up in the Golan Heights between Syria and Israel as the insurgency in Syria seems to be spreading beyond that nation's borders:
Three Syrian mortar shells struck in and around an Israeli village on the Golan Heights Thursday, marking a significant deterioration of security conditions along the border.
One shell fell in between homes in Moshav Alonei Habashan, but did not explode. Two more hit closer to the border.
“We believe these are stray shells, fired in the midst of internal Syrian fighting,” an IDF spokeswoman said.
No one was injured in the incident, which follows other stray shootings, including Syrian bullets that struck an IDF jeep on patrol last week.
Home Front Defense Minister Avi Dichter said Israel needed “nerves of steel” to deal with the instability in Syria.
Then, of course, there's the possibility that Israel is planning to strike Iran's nuclear sites around the time of the 11/13 new moon/solar eclipse:
In my September 25th blog, I highlighted how we were entering the season most prone for major global panics to occur. In 1929 and 1987, this took the form of stock market crashes. In 1962 and 1973, this took the form of geopolitical crises that brought the world to the brink of nuclear war. As examined in my thesis on Manic Depressive Man, I believe this pattern reveals an underlying "Global Bipolar Disorder" that is shaping human history. What's more, it's possible this recurrent pattern is foreshadowing a future, nearly suicidal chapter of human history that might unfold during the "Fall".
In this light, my gravest concern is that the world will eventually share my "apocalyptic vision" of a global nuclear war that will begin with a chemical SCUD missile attack on Haifa, Israel. Could this occur at the current historical juncture? I'm afraid it's distinctly possible and, disturbingly, Israel seems to think it's possible as well.
My last blog noted news that Israel had placed Patriot missiles atop Mount Carmel overlooking the city of Haifa in northern Israel apparently in response to the Hezbollah's flight of an unmanned drone into Israeli territory last Saturday. This indicates that the IDF is concerned about the possibility of enemy missile strikes on Haifa in the near future.
While this story in and of itself is alarming, the news today of Israel's plan for a massive civil defense exercise, purportedly for an earthquake, is even more troubling. According to IsraelNationalNews.com:
Israel is planning a huge emergency drill for next week amid speculation and fears that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will order a unilateral strike on Iranian uranium enrichment facilities.
The drill tests the country’s ability to cope with an earthquake, and assumes hypothetical mass casualties of 7,000 dead, 70,000 wounded and 170,000 without a home.
The drill will also include a scenario simulating a toxic chemical leak at the northern coastal port in Haifa. This is the first time a Home Front drill has dealt with a natural disaster scenario as opposed to a war scenario.
Here's what may be telltale. Why is this "drill" being conducted as a response to an earthquake instead of as a war drill? Was a natural disaster selected as the purpose of the exercise in order to provide some sort of cover? If so, why? That the earthquake scenario involves such unprecedented casualties, i.e., 7000 dead and 70000 wounded, seems a tad odd for Israel which is rarely impacted by seismic disasters. What's more, the inclusion of simulating a "toxic chemical leak" seems strange, although this would make good sense if the intent is to put emergency services in place to deal with a real world chemical missile barrage on Israel. In other words, this unprecedented Israeli 'Home Front drill' seems geared to have in place and ready-to-go the domestic emergency resources that would respond to retaliation by Iran, Hezbollah, Syria and/or Egypt in the event of an all-out Middle East war that could be triggered by an IDF strike on Iran's nuclear facilities or a like situation.
Buttressing the concern that Israel is about to go to war is news of another massive military exercise scheduled for next week. As the Jerusalem Post reported two days ago:
The US and Israel will commence the largest-ever joint air defense drill of its kind in Israel on October 21, an army source said on Tuesday.
The exercise, named Austere Challenge 12, was originally scheduled for last spring but was postponed due to regional tensions with Iran.
On October 14, large numbers of American soldiers are expected to begin arriving in Israel, where they will set up aerial defense positions on Israeli territory and on US Navy vessels off the Israeli coastline.
The three-week drill will simulate various missile defense scenarios, and is expected to end with a live-fire interception of a decoy incoming Patriot missile.
One of the objectives of the drill is to facilitate the rapid deployment of US missile defense systems to Israel and test their ability to operate in conjunction with Israeli defense systems during a conflict.
Thus, Israel is also about to have all the military equipment and personnel in place needed to deal with air defense against an enemy missile barrage.
Finally, as reported by Zerohedge, an extra U.S. aircraft carrier and amphibious warship are about to arrive in the Arabian Sea thus placing maximum American naval forces around Iran just in time for the October 15th new moon:
The news surrounding the Middle East, particularly Iran and Syria, may come and go in waves, but for the most part it is loud political grandstanding, jawboning and largely noise. Or rather, it will be noise until these two catalytic events occur: the third US Aircraft carrier (CVN-74 Stennis) and the second big deck amphibious warfare ship (LHA-5 Peleliu), both dispatched as of several weeks ago with a destination the 5th US Fleet headquartered in Bahrain, reach their target - the Arabian Sea, located by the Straits of Hormuz and right next to Iran. As the following naval update map from Stratfor shows, both are now within a week of reaching their destination: conveniently so with at least two weeks to go until the presidential election. Needless to say, once on location, the naval and airborne support for any offensive operation, especially those launched during new moon cycles, will be simply suffocating.
Are the U.S. and Israel preparing for a strike on Iran around the time of the upcoming new moon on October 15th?
As examined in my previous blog, we are currently in a seasonal period I deem to be extremely dangerous for mankind. It was during this time, going into the new moon that marks the end of the month of Tishrei on the lunar-based Hebrew calendar, that the 1929 and 1987 stock market crashes occurred as well as when the closest approaches to nuclear world war took place during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis and 1973 Yom Kippur Arab-Israeli War. This seasonal pattern is a notable corroboration of my primary thesis that man as a species suffers from a "Global Bipolar Disorder" such that there are ongoing extreme swings in mass mood between social manias and collective depressions which shape human history.
Patriot Anti-Missile Battery Deployed Near Haifa on Mt. Carmel

A Patriot anti-missile battery has been installed in the north, atop Mt. Carmel near Haifa. However, according to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit, deployment of a Patriot battery “is not an unusual thing.”
The system, operated by the IDF Air Defense Command, is capable of intercepting flying objects (balllistic missiles, aircraft and other threats) at ranges between 60 to 160 kilometers ( 37 to 99 miles). The Patriot system was used during the Gulf War to intercept missiles fired at Israel from Iraq.
Installation of the battery in the north came after the IDF shot down a UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) that flew nearly the entire length of the country, albeit most of the way via the Mediterranean.
The small drone was shot down Saturday morning over an uninhabited area in the northern Negev Desert. Two Israeli F-16 fighter jets “escorted” the aircraft on its journey down the coast before destroying the aircraft.
It is widely assumed that the drone was transmitting photographs, and if it had continued on its easterly course from Gaza, it would have flown near, or directly over the Dimona nuclear reactor. Israeli officials have been concerned for some time that the facility could be vulnerable to an attack from Iran.
According to a report on the Beirut-based pan-Arab television station Al-Mayadeen, with links to the Hizbullah terrorist organization, Hizbullah was responsible for the drone's flagrant violation of Israeli air space. In a brief statement, the station said the drone managed “to penetrate 100 kilometers and raise tension in Israel.” However, Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah has not made an official comment on the incident.
I certainly hope and pray not, but this is the period I've long considered most likely for the world to share my apocalyptic vision. God I hope I'm deluded...
As noted in my April blog, "Jonathan Cahn: The Harbinger", there is an intriguing phenomenon surrounding the date of Elul 29 on the Jewish calendar. As Rabbi Cahn discovered and spelled out in his book, The Harbinger, on this last day on the Jewish calendar in the last two Sabbatical Years, 2001 and 2008 (Sabbatical Years occur every seven years under Jewish tradition), two of the three largest point drops in the DJIA in stock market history occurred:
As pointed out in the section of my April blog dubbed, "The Mystery Of The Shmita & The Septennial Sabbatical Cycle", it's an incredible coincidence that two of the three largest point drops in the Dow struck on the last day of the seven-year Jewish Sabbatical cycle. In fact, statistically the odds of this occurring are more than a million to one.
So maybe God's trying to make a point with us. What point could that be?
Consider this. 9/11 involved massive strikes against the greatest symbols of American "Capitalism and Imperialism", i.e., the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon. These attacks against the U.S. were carried out by Islamic extremists under the guidance of Communist forces. Islam purportedly represents "submission to God's will" and Communism purportedly signifies "sharing wealth equally". In this context, one might well argue that 9/11 was a warning from God to America of the need to submit to God's will to share our wealth.
Needless to say, America, and Wall Street in particularly, failed to learn any lesson from 9/11.
Thus, unrestrained greed ran amok for another cycle and what emerged was a sub-prime mortgage bubble that epitomized financial corruption throughout our society. Eventually the bubble burst, however, and when Wall Street didn't get the bailout it wanted from Main Street on 9/29/08, the second Elul 29 crash struck. So too did a prolonged economic collapse as American Capitalism seemed to fail.
Yet, just as the 'Harbinger' prophecy from Isaiah 9:10 foretells, God's people still fail to get the divine message:
“The bricks have fallen down, but we will rebuild with dressed stone; the fig trees have been felled, but we will replace them with cedars.”
The truth is that rebuilding in contravention to God's will is ultimately futile.
I think what's key here is what Jews are called upon to do on the last day of the Sabbatical Year, Elul 29th:
When the Shmita (Sabbatical) year ends, personal debts which are due during that year are considered nullified and forgiven. The Book of Leviticus promises bountiful harvests to those who observe the shmita and makes observance a test of religious faith. [Wiki]
Are the "creditors" of this world forgiving debts as their debts were forgiven by Christ?
I think not.
Now the question is, how is God the Author of this story in which we dwell going to respond to such disobedience?
